I believe that in order to survive this pandemic, we need to follow these three principles, that I began practicing thirty years ago, when I migrated from the south to Chicago.
China sneezed and the world caught Corvid-19! This confirmed to me the first of the three principles, that “We Are All Connected”! …Thirty years ago, I stepped out of my comfort zone, and invited my neighbors to form a “block club”. Under the banner of “Love thy neighbor”, we called our “88th Pl. Block Club”, “the family”, which gave birth to great prosperity and security for all of us on our block and beyond!..\

The 2nd Principle of survival is that “We are all family”. In this Covid-19 crisis, first responders are risking their lives and family for their “neighbors” well being. These people prepared themselves to serve us, for a time like this! Pres. Abraham Lincoln address at Gettysburg, “…those who here gave their lives that the nation might live…”, truly rings a bell for me!
Third principle of survival is, “We Are Neighbors”. After Katrina tornadoes hit my home town New Orleans, my neighbors got scattered all over the country. Now my home state, Lousianna, is announced as Covid-19 quarantined state.This time, there is nowhere to run to; we got to stand together! Covid-19 has taught us that we are all neighbors!

What race or color is Corvid19?! What gender is Corvid19?! Let us Create a “United State of Mind”! In this moment we are in an environment of global impact and no longer isolated from the rest of the world; in other words, we have become Global CItizens overnight!
Let the womb of God’s Love provide us the wisdom as mothers and fathers to labor to secure our blessings of liberty, not only for US, but for the whole blue planet; so that,“… this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth…”(Pres.
